The lodge is located in Gold Bridge just 125 miles north of Vancouver and is easily reached yet remote enough to ensure a truly genuine wilderness experience. During the summer season, there is a host of activities including hiking, biking and taking to the water. Guests can use pedal boats, canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards to enjoy the tranquility of Tyaughton Lake. Fishermen and women of all ages and abilities will enjoy trying to land one of the lake’s many rainbow trout. Tyax Wilderness Resort & Spa is also home to a seemingly endless trail system providing some of the best alpine single-track mountain biking routes, hiking trails, nature walks, and horseback riding adventures that British Columbia has to offer. The 3, 4, 7 and 10-day horseback tours take you deep into the South Chilcotin Mountains. Spend your first night at Tyax Wilderness Resort & Spa, where you’ll meet your wranglers and rest up for the trip. From there, enjoy a horseback adventure through wild meadows, across streams, over mountain passes, and along valley floors. Packhorses carry your gear to each cozy camp, and our friendly camp hosts provide you with hearty, delicious meals.
