Come and enjoy a peaceful retreat at the water’s edge of Lake McKellar. This stunning, newly built Viceroy cottage is located just 15 minutes from Parry Sound and sits tucked away on a quiet lake in the heart of Northern Muskoka.
Although The Ark has a rustic charm you will find it includes all the modern conveniences you need for your comfort and enjoyment. Features include large panoramic windows, a beautiful stone propane fireplace, cathedral pine ceilings, spacious loft, fully equipped kitchen and a dining room table with seating for eight. Like its namesake, The Ark has room for all. A master bedroom provides comfort with a queen bed, while the other two bedrooms each have a double with single bunk over top, allowing for maximum flexibility in sleeping arrangements for your group. There is also a loft with some additional sleeping areas and that also has a TV/VCR/DVD/PS2 combination, making it a great perch for the young (or the young-wannabe's) in your group. Located only 20 feet from the lake, the view and easy water access truly can’t be beaten! Outside, a deck runs the complete length of the cottage, enabling your entire group to enjoy waterfront views in comfort. For more intimate outdoor gatherings, there is a covered gazebo perched at one end of the deck, nestled among trees. Traditionalists will enjoy an evening campfire in the stone fire pit at the water's edge. The local area has no shortage of things to do. Parry Sound is just 15 minutes away with shops, restaurants, festivals and museums. You might want to spend a day on Georgian Bay via an island cruise from the harbour, or spend a day on the links of one of the golf courses in the area - whatever your choice, year round, The Ark provides an ideal spot for the full cottage life experience.
