What Triptoes Really Likes:
Just two hours from Montreal, The Auberge du Lac Taureau is one of the most beautiful all season logwood lodges in Canada. Set on a large pristine lake in Quebec's Lanaudiere Region and surrounded by stunning scenery with a host of on-site activities, Lac Taureau makes for an excellent addition to a family holiday in Canada.
In Summer the lodge has an abundance of things to do for all the family. The beaches are really beautiful and the lake swimming is great for all ages. Activities included as part of the package include swimming, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boats, tennis, wildlife observation and the use of an indoor pool, sauna and whirlpool. For an additional fee you can rent ATV vehicles and explore the 500 kms of trails, go mountain biking, rent a pontoon, take a floatplane ride, hire motor-boats or try your hand at archery. And for those needing some respite, there is an excellent day spa! There is also an informative Native Canadian site reconstruction where you can discover some of the rich history and culture and take a guided Trapper's Trail hike to discover your inner 'coureur des bois'! Winter is altogether a different experience but it is a season that Canadians do very well; winter activities include snowmobiling, ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog-sledding and skating. The Triptoes 3 night/4 day package includes meals at half board and some activities.
